Both players enter this round at 4-0. Soowal is using Gravekeepers while Sturick is using Frog Monarch with some nifty card choices. This one should be interesting and the winner will almost guarantee himself a spot in the Top 16! Both players wished each other good luck and play began.

Sturick drew for his turn, holding a hand of Monster Reborn, Enemy Controller, One for One, Dark Hole, Soul Exchange, and Pot of Avarice. He ended his turn with no plays.
Soowal drew and activated Pot of Duality to add Dimensional Prison for his hand, then set a monster and 1 backrow before ending his turn.
Sturick drew and activated One for One, discarding Fishborg Blaster to Special Summon Treeborn Frog. He then ended his turn.
Soowal drew and activated Pot of Duality to add Solemn Warning to his hand, then set a monster and 2 cards to his backrow before ending his turn.
Sturick drew, brought back Treeborn Frog and then discarded a card to bring back Fishborg Blaster. He sent both his monsters to the Graveyard for Formula Synchron to draw 1 card, then set 1 card to his backrow and ended his turn.
Soowal drew and flip summoned Gravekeeper's Recruiter and then normal summoned Gravekeeper's Descendant. Descendant tributed off Recruiter to destroy Formula Synchron and Soowal searched out Gravekeeper's Assailant with Recruiter. Soowal flip summoned a 2nd Gravekeeper's Recruiter, then played Necrovalley before attacking for 3700. In his Main Phase 2, Soowal tributed off Gravekeeper's Recruiter to destroy Sturick's face-down Synchro Material and searched out another copy of Recruiter from his deck. Soowal ended his turn.

Sturick drew and brought back Treeborn Frog, and activated Enemy Controller to tribute it off and take control of Gravekeeper's Descendant before bringing back Treeborn Frog again. He then discarded a card for Fishborg, sending it and Treeborn to the graveyard for another Formula Synchron, drawing a card. Nobleman of Extermination then came down to remove Soowal's Dimensional Prison from the game before Sturick attacked with Gravekeeper's Descendant for 2000. In his Main Phase 2 Sturick sent Descendant and Formula Synchron to the graveyard to Synchro Summon Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. Sturick ended with no further plays.

Soowal drew and summoned Gravekeeper's Asssailant, which attacked and turned Brionac to defense to destroy it. Soowal ended with no other plays.
Sturick drew, brought back Treeborn Frog and then activated Soul Exchange to tribute Frog and Assailant for Light and Darkness Dragon but Soowal chained Solemn Warning to negate the summon! Sturick ended with no other plays.

Soowal drew and activated Royal Tribute to knock Gorz the Emissary of Darkness out of Sturick's hand, revealing his own hand of Dark Hole and 2 Gravekeeper's Stele. Soowal then flip summoned Gravekeeper's Recruiter and activated 1 Stele to get back Commandant and Assailant. He summoned Assailant and attacked over Treeborn with it, using the effect to hit for 1900 and Recruiter hit directly for 1700. Soowal ended his turn.

Sturick drew, brought back Treeborn and discarded Nobleman of Extermination for Fishborg Blaster before sending both monsters to the Graveyard for Formula Synchron, drawing a card. Sturick activated Dark Hole to destroy Formula, Assailant, and Recruiter which got Soowal another Descendant from his deck. Sturick set 1 card to his backrow and ended his turn.
Soowal drew and normal summoned Gravekeeper's Descendant. Descendant declared an attack and Sturick dropped Battle Fader to shut it down. Soowal set 1 card to his backrow and passed.
Sturick drew, set a monster and ended his turn.
Soowal drew and activated Gravekeeper's Stele to get back Assailant and Descendant, summon Assailant to the field. Assailant declared an attack on Battle Fader and Sturick chained Enemy Controller, tributing off Battle Fader to take control of Gravekeeper's Assailant. Descendant attacked over the face-down Glow-Up Bulb and Soowal ended his turn, taking back Assailant.
Sturick drew and scooped with no way out.

Game 2
Sturick opened with a hand of Raiza the Storm Monarch, Caius the Shadow Monarch, Soul Exchange, Puppet Plant, and 2 copies of Synchro Material. He set 1 Synchro Material and ended his turn.
Soowal drew and discarded Gravekeeper's Commandant to add Necrovalley to his hand and then played it. Gravekeeper's Recruiter hit the field and got in for 1700. Soowal set 1 card to his backrow and ended his turn.

Sturick drew and activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Soowal's face-down My Body As A Shield. Puppet Plant was discarded to take control of Recruiter and Strucik tributed off Recruiter for Raiza the Storm Monarch! Raiza targeted Necrovalley but Soowal chained Effect Veiler to cut it off. (For some reason, Soowal searched his deck for Gravekeeper's Assailant. Neither player seemed to realize he did not get the effect in this situation.) Raiza hit directly for 2400 and Soowal ended his turn.

Soowal summoned Gravekeeper's Assailant which ran over Raiza with it's effect. Soowal ended with no further plays.
Sturick drew and activated Soul Exchange, tributing off Assailant to summon Caius the Shadow Monarch. Caius removed Necrovalley and Sturick ended.
Soowal drew and activated Smashing Ground to destroy Caius. He then set 1 card to his backrow and played Necrovalley before ending.
Sturick drew and passed.
Soowal drew and activated Pot of Duality to add Gravekeeper's Stele to his hand, which got him Recruiter and Assailant from his graveyard. Recruiter hit the field and attacked for 1700 before Soowal ended his turn.
